We are so glad you are here! Thank you for caring for children. Together we can help make orphaned children’s lives better.

For 20 plus years Grace and Hope has been working to make the lives of orphans better. When our program ended in China, we waited to see where the Lord would lead us to help orphans in their time of need.

Three years ago when the war in Ukraine broke out, thousands of children in orphanages were displaced and sent to live in Poland. Several members of our board traveled to Poland where we had the opportunity to meet many Ukrainian orphans. As we began to feel God leading us to help, He opened the door for us to begin working in Poland to enrich the lives of the Ukrainian orphans there. We found a wonderful couple that have a loving heart for children, and they speak Polish, Ukrainian/Russian and English.

The children still in Poland have remained under the legal protection of Ukrainian institutions making it impossible for them to be placed into foster care. Yet their needs for personalized care remains as urgent as ever.

Thanks to your continued support and the leadership of our full-time employee, we have been able to meet these needs in powerful ways.

Volunteers have been recruited and equipped to offer mentorship, encouragement and vocational training especially for the older teens nearing adulthood. Two large Christmas celebrations have been organized yearly where each child receives a personalized gift to remind them that they are seen and loved. Our employee has also earned the trust of legal guardians, attending healthcare appointments with the children to advocate for their needs and translate medical information between Polish doctors and Ukrainian caretakers. Though these children remain under state guardianship, we are privileged to walk alongside them-offering stability, hope and the personal attention every child deserves.

Earlier this year some of the children began returning to Ukraine.  We are working with people there to see if it will be possible for GAH to help sponsor children into foster care. This is a work in progress and we will update as new information unfolds.
